St Luke’s is a Catholic community dedicated to learning. Here you will find an optimistic, vibrant and inclusive school. We value the gifts and contributions of students, staff and parents. All people here are treated with respect. Each member of the St Luke’s school community has an important part in bringing our vision to reality. We live by values drawn from the writings of St Luke and through them we are an expression in the world of God’s redeeming love. In our time here we remain attentive to the sacredness of the present moment.
Shrove Tuesday Pancakes - 28th Feb
Shrove Tuesday is a day of celebration as well as penitence, because it's the last day before Lent. Lent is a time of abstinence, of giving things up. So Shrove Tuesday is the last chance to indulge oneself, and to use up the foods that weren't allowed during Lent.
McSweeney Faction Day Celebration - 28th Feb
Tuesday the 28th Feb also marks the date we will be celebrating McSweeney's faction day. The 28th February was chosen as a significant day to celebrate as it is the date the first mass was celebrated at St Luke's Parish, Woodvale.
