Social Worker

St Luke's is one of over 30 Catholic Schools that utilize the services of qualified and experienced Social Worker. It is a school based service, with the social worker being part of the total educational team at St Luke's. The social worker works collaboratively with staff, parents and students to optimise the educational experience of the students.

The social worker provides counselling to help students and their families deal with any social or emotional issues relating to school or affecting a child's academic performance. The social worker also provides class programs, facilitates small group work, organises guest speakers/workshops for parents, makes referrals to other professionals and regularly contributes articles to the school newsletter, all at no cost to parents.

Ann Peart is the social worker at St Luke's. Ann can be contacted by ringing the school office or by email: ann.peart@cewa.edu.au
